A modified version of the STRAWBERRY RED OVERDRIVE 4K, tuned by BJF for humbucker-equipped guitars. It is voiced brighter, clearer, and higher in resolution, and depending on settings can produce tones cleaner than bypass. It carries four knobs, VOLUME, DRIVE, TREBLE, and LOW, and runs on 9V to 18V with an adapter, gaining a wider dynamic range at higher voltages.
A modified SROD tuned for humbuckers
A version that inherits the fine-amp character of the STRAWBERRY RED OVERDRIVE 4K while being tuned by BJF for humbucker-equipped guitars typified by the Les Paul.
Tuned brighter and higher in resolution
To suit humbuckers, which excel at heavy tones, it is tuned in a brighter, clearer, higher-resolution direction. Depending on the guitar type and settings, it can even produce tones cleaner than bypass. Designer Bjorn Juhl notes that with the mids set flat and combined with the Marigold Orange Overdrive, it also suits a Stratocaster.
Four knobs and high-voltage operation
Controls are VOLUME, DRIVE, and TREBLE, plus LOW for boosting and cutting the low end. Adapter operation supports 9V to 18V; higher voltages yield a wider dynamic range and a more three-dimensional tone.
