A collaboration model on a Bagel OverDrive base, with controls renamed after the series
A collaboration model with ALL OF EVANGELION, the exhibition marking the thirtieth anniversary of Evangelion. It is built on the Bagel OverDrive, one of Effects Bakery's most popular models.
Artwork and control names
The pedal carries Wanko Eva, a character born from a collaboration between the exhibition and Wanko Kyodai, the mascot of Iwate Prefecture. The knobs follow the world of the series: volume is output, tone is awakening, and the amount of drive is berserk.
Character of the distortion
It follows the lineage of traditional overdrives from the end of the 1970s while carrying the flexible response of a tube amp. The distortion has long sustain and a clear, forward image, covering sweet lead lines, light cutting and blues playing.
Gain range and pairings
The berserk knob reaches from nearly clean tones to deep overdrive. It can push a solo forward alongside a high-gain amp or a distortion pedal, or sit at lower gain to keep complex chords separated. Beyond the traditional 808 voicing, it also offers a flatter, higher-response, amp-like character.
