MXR
FOD DRIVE
An overdrive that combines two circuits in one pedal: one recreating a high-gain amp and one recreating a crunch sound. MXR's development team analyzed two customized amps owned by a famous artist, and the BLEND control lets you mix those sounds freely. The SCOOP switch selects the midrange from three modes—FLAT, BOOST, and SCOOP—and two trim pots on the internal board independently adjust the gain and volume of the crunch circuit. With GAIN rolled down and OUTPUT raised it also works as a booster, and the footswitch is true bypass.
An overdrive that blends two custom amps
An overdrive housing two amp circuits—high gain and crunch—in a single pedal. It was developed after MXR's development team analyzed two customized amps owned by a famous artist.
Mixing the two circuits with BLEND
The BLEND knob adjusts the mix ratio between the two amp sounds, shifting toward high gain as it is turned clockwise. It creates combined drive sounds that a single amp alone cannot produce.
SCOOP switch and internal trim pots
The SCOOP switch selects the midrange from three modes—FLAT, BOOST, and SCOOP—for bold, intuitive EQ changes. Two trim pots on the internal board independently adjust the gain and volume of the blended crunch circuit for fine balance settings.
Booster use and true bypass
With GAIN rolled down and OUTPUT raised, it also functions as a booster. The footswitch is true bypass to keep signal degradation to a minimum.
