MARIGOLD ORANGE OVERDRIVE
$144.99Reference price
An overdrive with two modes selectable to match the character of the connected amp. MID mode lifts the region around 800Hz by about +6dB for a traditional voice, while FLAT mode keeps the same peak but widens the lows and highs to bring out the amp's own tone. It is designed to work with any destination, from tube amps to transistor amps and modelers.
An overdrive that changes character to match the amp
A pedal that distills what guitarists have long asked of an overdrive: making the guitar's tone stand out and step forward with a pleasing edge. It adopts a design with two modes used according to the character of the connected amp.
Two modes: FLAT and MID
A slide switch below the output jack selects the mode. MID mode lifts the region around 800Hz by about +6dB for a traditional overdrive voice, suited to driving transistor amps and classic modelers hard. FLAT mode keeps the same peak around 800Hz while extending the lows and highs, letting the tone of tube amps and high-quality modelers stand out as it is.
A TONE control that works the harmonics
With TONE set an octave above the range of typical overdrives, harmonic content can be adjusted while keeping a flat response. Brilliance can be dialed in or out while the low mids keep their core, avoiding both the thinned lows of mid-heavy designs and the diminished harmonics of flat-voiced ones.
- FLAT/MID modes chosen to match the amp's character
- MID mode boosts around 800Hz by about +6dB
- TONE set an octave higher adjusts the harmonics
- DRIVE covers booster duties to main drive
- Mini enclosure that also runs on a battery
