SUPER APRICOT OD
$144.99Reference price
An AIAB pedal that produces the tone of the early Supro tube combo amps born in Chicago. Designer BJF also created the Supro-inspired Honey Bee OD, but the circuits share nothing in common; this pedal targets the rock-oriented amp sounds of a later era. It delivers strong saturation without a sense of compression and responds dynamically to playing.

An AIAB pedal that produces the tone of Supro's early tube combo amps born in Chicago. Designer BJF also created the Supro-inspired Honey Bee OD, but the circuits share nothing in common — this pedal aims at the rock-oriented amp sounds of a later era.
Saturation without compression
It delivers strong saturation with almost no sense of compression. Clean settings retain a hint of saturation for a hot clean, and even heavily driven tones keep clean-like resolution. Its combo-amp character includes the harmonic squash typical of open-back cabinets.
Gain control from the guitar
Beyond the DRIVE knob, gain responds to the guitar's volume and picking dynamics, and it returns to clean instantly. Because gain can be controlled from string vibration, the designer suggests always-on, preamp-like use supporting everything from rhythm to lead.
- AIAB recreating early Supro-style tube combo amps
- Strong saturation with no sense of compression
- Dynamic response that cleans up from the guitar
- A separate design sharing no circuitry with the Honey Bee OD
- Suited to always-on, preamp-style use
