One Control
BJFE in your hand series Honey Bee OD 4K
$279.99Reference price
An overdrive from the BJF-approved series in which One Control rebuilds original BJFE models and hand-wires them in Japan. It gives the legendary BJFE Honey Bee OD, the pedal that laid the groundwork for amp-like overdrives, a 4-knob layout whose B and T knobs adjust lows and highs independently. It carries more of the original's soft texture than the BJFe Series Honey Bee 4K Mini, and paired with a clean amp it widens the expressive range of picking and guitar volume control.
The legendary Honey Bee OD revived as a 4-knob handmade overdrive
The BJFE Honey Bee OD, which laid the groundwork for amp-like pedals, rebuilt in the BJF-approved BJFE in your hand Series and hand-wired in Japan. The original has been given a 4-knob layout, with B and T knobs adjusting the lows and highs independently.
Soft texture with clarity
Where the BJFe Series Honey Bee 4K Mini is known for its clear voice, this model carries the soft texture unique to the original BJFE pedals. At the same time the tone stays articulate and controllable, so the drive can come across even stronger within an ensemble.
Expression that answers your hands
Into a clean amp, the tone responds to picking and the guitar's volume knob: mellow with flatwound strings, an old-style light drive with roundwounds. Pushing a lightly driven amp brings out the way a combo amp's harmonic content breaks up, delivering a bold tone that keeps its core and cut without raising the gain.
Use as a preamp
Beyond its role as a drive pedal, it can sit right before the amp and work like a preamp pedal, smoothing the overall tone with a soft response and a slight low-mid lift.
- BJF-approved hand-wired pedal made in Japan
- 4-knob layout with independent low and high controls
- The original's distinctive soft texture
- Highly responsive to picking and guitar volume
- Also works as a preamp pedal
