An overdrive carrying on the King of Tone lineage through co-development
A pedal rebuilt from the ANALOG.MAN King of Tone through a collaboration between founder Analog Mike and MXR. Mike himself tested the pedal repeatedly during development, confirming that it reproduces the clear, warm sound of the original.
Three clipping modes
An OD/BOOST/DIST switch changes how the distortion is generated. OD delivers compressed soft-clipping crunch, BOOST provides clear, fast-responding amplification that bypasses the clipping diodes, and DIST produces deep hard-clipping distortion, covering a wide range in a single pedal.
Controls inherited from the original
The control layout matches the King of Tone with three knobs: VOLUME, DRIVE, and TONE. It also handles booster-style use with DRIVE rolled down and VOLUME raised, as well as tone shaping in combination with other pedals.
