Effects Bakery
MECHA-PAN BAKERY Series MECHA-BAGEL OVERDRIVE
An overdrive from the MECHA-PAN BAKERY Series, in which Effects Bakery modifies its own Bagel OverDrive. It holds on to the TS-style voicing while moving toward a more transparent and dynamic sound than the standard version. An OPA1678 op-amp sits at its heart, and internal CLIP and BODY switches move between vintage-leaning TS tones and modern ones.
A modified version switching between vintage and modern while keeping the TS voicing
The MECHA-PAN BAKERY Series is a line in which Effects Bakery modifies its own pedals to extend their features and voicing. This model takes on the Bagel OverDrive.
How it differs from the standard version
It holds on to the TS-style voicing while moving toward a more transparent and dynamic sound. The tone is soft and warm, more reserved than the standard version, which favours immediacy. An OPA1678 op-amp was chosen to achieve that character.
The CLIP switch
This switch changes the soft-clipping mode, selecting between asymmetrical and symmetrical clipping. In the on position the clipping is symmetrical, raising compression and moving closer to a classic TS sound.
The BODY switch
It changes the gain in the midrange. Switched on, gain rises for harmonic content above 720Hz, giving the mid-to-high push of a vintage original TS.
- Bagel OverDrive modified by its own maker
- Tuned transparent and dynamic while keeping the TS voicing
- OPA1678 op-amp at its heart
- CLIP switch selecting symmetrical or asymmetrical clipping
- BODY switch lifting harmonics above 720Hz
