An Bread DI
An active DI with a built-in amp and speaker simulator. Designed to send a pedalboard's signal straight to a line input, it carries two outputs including a balanced XLR out. Engaging the AMP SIM switch applies a British-style clean amp and speaker simulation, and the pedal also works as a preamp for acoustic guitar.
A DI with amp simulation that sends a pedalboard straight to the line
An active DI intended to sit between a pedalboard and a mixer or audio interface. It requires external power, and in exchange it drives the input signal out at line level.
Two outputs
Two output jacks are provided, and the balanced XLR out feeds a mixer or the line input of an audio interface directly. Placed at the end of a pedalboard, it sends the sound built on the board straight to the line.
The AMP SIM switch
Pressing the side-mounted switch engages a British-style clean amp simulator together with a speaker simulator. It supplies the character of an amp and cabinet where the signal goes to the line without an amp.
Instruments and applications
Beyond electric guitar, it can serve as a preamp for acoustic guitar. Home practice, recording and DTM are the intended settings, where the signal is sent without driving an amp.
