$249.99Reference price
A unit that puts the sounds of the BOSS compact pedal series, running since 1977, into a single pedal. It was developed to capture the full musical character of each original unit, covering a wide range of effects from drive and modulation to pitch, delay, and reverb. The model brings the sounds of classic pedals into today's playing environments.
One unit recalling the sounds of BOSS compact pedals past
A model that puts the historic sounds of the BOSS compact pedal series, begun in 1977 and spanning more than 140 models, into a single unit. It pairs the compact pedal design with a display, letting you switch between classic models while keeping a pedalboard-friendly size.
Recreation method that dedicates the DSP to one effect
By allocating all DSP resources to reproducing a single effect, it recreates each model's unique characteristics, response, and even its distinctive noise components. Capturing the musical character of the originals was the core of its development.
16 starter effects
Sixteen models, including the OD-1, SD-1, DS-1, CE-2, and DD-2, are provided as starters, with eight preinstalled on the unit. Creating a free Roland account lets you add the remaining eight to user slots from the dedicated app, and the unit can switch between up to 16 effects.
Expansion and control
Connecting an optional expression pedal or footswitch enables real-time parameter control and a SWAP function that toggles between two models with your foot. Tap tempo and MIDI clock reception make it easy to sync time-based effects to a song's tempo. Through the dedicated BOSS Effect Loader app, connected via Bluetooth or USB Type-C, effects can be added with paid model passes.
