A multi-effects unit built around a touch display and AIRD preamps
A model aiming to combine sound and usability, running at a 48kHz sampling rate with 32-bit float internal processing. It packages technology inherited from the flagship GT-1000 into a more approachable format.
AIRD preamps from the GT-1000
A curated set of 32 AIRD preamps for guitar and bass reproduces the sound and response of tube amplifiers. Loading WAV-format cabinet IR data through the dedicated app expands the tonal range further.
170 effects and flexible routing
It includes 170 effects derived from the GT-1000, among them types using X-series algorithms and carryover-capable delays and reverbs that let trails ring out after switching off. Up to 15 effect blocks can be used at once, enabling intricate configurations such as running two preamps in parallel or blending through a mixer. Up to 200 settings can be stored on the unit.
Controls and operation
The touch color display and four knobs divide the work: effects are added and reordered by dragging, while parameters are fine-tuned with the knobs. It offers a MEMORY mode for switching memories and a MANUAL mode for individual on/off, and functions can be freely assigned to the eight footswitches. It also provides a current-number function that triggers an assigned action when the selected memory's switch is pressed again, and an expression pedal setting that launches the tuner when rolled all the way back.
Connectivity and expansion
The SEND/RETURN jacks accommodate external pedals as well as four-cable-method connection with an amp. USB handles audio interface and MIDI duties, and attaching the optional Bluetooth adapter enables wireless editing from a smartphone and streaming music playback.
