ULTRA VIOLET is a pedal that recreates vintage Vibe sounds. It targets the elements that define the Vibe — warm, gritty texture, irregular undulation, and dynamic response to picking — and offers both chorus and vibrato modes. Simple controls call up vintage Vibe tones.
A true Vibe that maps the optical circuit in every detail
A newly developed algorithm recreates the heart of the Vibe: warm, gritty texture, irregularly swelling modulation, and dynamic response to picking. It models the interdependencies of the classic optical circuit in full, down to the lamp's turn-on lag and the response of the CdS photocells.
Three modes: Chorus, Vibrato, and Blend
The classic Chorus runs at 50% wet and Vibrato at 100%, while the new Blend mode is dry-forward at 30% wet. Blend draws out everything from subtle coloring to phase tremolo and rotary-speaker-style effects.
A Bias switch for unit-to-unit character
Vintage Vibes sounded different from unit to unit as their bias trim drifted, and that variation became part of the appeal. The Bias switch optimizes the LFO waveform along with the bias level, switching between Low's pulsing throb, Mid's balanced classic character, and High's smooth, wide sweep.
Deep Intensity even at slow speeds
Analog Vibe circuits have a quirk where the swing only deepens as speed increases, but UltraViolet extends the Intensity range at slow speeds, reaching slow, deep undulation. The volume knob offers up to +4dB of boost, and with Intensity at zero it can serve as a phase EQ.
