A front-end anchor uniting compression and boost
A VCA-based compressor and booster born from studying classic analog compressors. With auto threshold and auto makeup gain, setting the COMPRESSION knob is all it takes to dial in your dynamics.
Two analog compression circuits
Studio mode delivers smooth, highly articulate compression reminiscent of vintage studio racks. Squeeze mode delivers the deep, sustaining compression found in classic guitar pedals. The Dry knob blends in the dry signal in parallel, preserving a natural attack even at deep settings.
Clean and dirty boost with selectable EQ
The independent boost section offers clean and dirty circuits, with the dirty side providing the soft clipping of TS-style overdrives. Three boost EQ voicings can be switched to match your guitar and amp combination. Compression and boost work independently or together.
VCA-based volume pedal function
A dedicated VCA handles the Level control, and connecting a TRS expression pedal turns it into a VCA-based volume pedal. There is none of the pot noise, impedance mismatch, or tone degradation of passive volume pedals.
A wide range that also covers bass
With no high-pass filter roll-off, the low end extends to 20Hz. The Class A JFET input circuit supports both guitar and bass with a low noise floor and wide dynamic range.
