SONIC SILVER PEG
$154.99Reference price
A bass AIAB that captures the sound of the V4, the 100W tube amp Ampeg released in the 1970s. Placing the volume control early in the circuit recreates the power of amps directly descended from the SVT. It carries an active Mid knob offering ±15dB of boost and cut centered on 800Hz, and a Tone knob sweeping a low-pass filter from 300Hz to 10kHz.
A bass AIAB that puts the Ampeg V4's tone in pedal size
A bass AIAB capturing the sound of the V4, the 100W tube amp Ampeg released in the 1970s. It distills the loud, expansive power of SVT-lineage Ampeg amps into a pedal usable as the foundation of any bass tone.
Power from an early volume stage
Placing the volume control at an early point in the circuit recreates the power of amps directly descended from the SVT. It covers everything from clean, workmanlike bass tones to overdrive rich in tube saturation.
Controls faithful to the original
It carries an active Mid knob offering ±15dB of boost and cut centered on 800Hz, and a Tone knob sweeping a low-pass filter from 300Hz to 10kHz. The 0dB/-15dB switch corresponds to switching between the original's two inputs; on the -15dB side the output is higher and the drive stronger.
Ready for a wide range of basses and line use
It covers everything from boosting low-output passive single-coils to active pickups, piezos, and 5- and 6-string basses. With ample output level, it also supports running straight into a mixer.
