A tremolo that recreates the sound of the power-tube tremolo built into early tube amps while pairing it with a modern, clear, high-resolution tone. Vintage amp tremolos generated their distinctive character by varying the bias current of the power tubes. Instead of triangle or square waves, this pedal uses the same sine-wave LFO as those amps to achieve that soft undulation.

A tremolo that recreates vintage undulation with a sine-wave LFO

The power-tube tremolo built into early tube amps drew its distinctive character from a design that varied the bias current of the power tubes. This pedal recreates that texture while pairing it with a modern, clear, high-resolution tone.

The same sine-wave LFO as the original amps

Instead of the triangle or square waves most tremolos use, it employs a sine wave for the LFO, like the vintage amps. Set shallow, the undulation is gentle and smooth; even set deep, it keeps a soft texture that never disturbs the playing, a quality owed largely to this waveform.

Designed to hold a sine wave at all times

Real power-tube tremolos drift toward a square wave when the driver saturates, but this pedal maintains a sine wave at all times thanks to a wide dynamic range and high headroom. This underpins the coexistence of vintage tremolo character and modern clarity, and it can be placed before or after drive pedals.

AMPLITUDE usable even with the undulation stopped

The AMPLITUDE knob finely shapes the waveform; at minimum, the undulation disappears, leaving a light boost and a slightly warm tone that can serve like a buffer or preamp. Combined with DEPTH, it produces everything from smooth, continuous tremolo to more intense movement.
