RASPBERRY BOOSTER
$144.99Reference price
A booster built around the classic role of pushing an amp or dirt pedal harder. Raising GAIN increases compression when boosting, reaching a tone between clean and overdriven. MASTER can cut as well as boost, letting you dial in volume and gain amount independently. The Z knob varies input impedance from 9.8K to 319K, mainly changing how the top end comes through.
A booster built for the era of driving the amp
Overdrives once existed not to distort themselves but to push the amp into distortion. This pedal was designed to recreate that approach today, with fine control over the character of the drive when boosting. It is meant to sit at the front of the pedalboard.
Independent GAIN and MASTER controls
Raising GAIN increases compression when boosting, reaching a tone between clean and overdriven at maximum. Because MASTER can cut as well as boost, you avoid the common problem with output-only boosters of getting too loud once you have the gain you need, dialing in volume and gain amount separately.
A Z knob that varies input impedance
The Z knob continuously varies input impedance from 9.8K to 319K. Rather than a simple treble cut, it changes the overall texture of the tone centered on the top end; at minimum, a solid-body single-coil softens like a semi-hollow humbucker. It also affects how the tone moves when you work the guitar's volume during a gain boost. A buffer placed before it changes the effect, so use at the front of the board is assumed.
