One Control
ANODIZED BROWN DISTORTION 4K
$154.99Reference price
The ANODIZED BROWN DISTORTION 4K is a One Control distortion developed on the concept of the drive sounds heard on great recordings. It combines dense, edgy distortion with modern clarity and tube-amp-like response, supporting the player's expression with ample gain, compression, and sustain. The ultra-compact enclosure still houses a battery, and it handles everything from lead to backing across genres.
A BJF-designed distortion chasing the sound of great recordings in an ultra-compact enclosure
Setting out to overturn the image of distortion as flat and merely high in gain, BJF designed this pedal from scratch around the concept of the sounds heard on great recordings. The goal is the response and note separation of a high-output tube amp, in an ultra-compact enclosure that still fits a battery.
+26 to +60dB gain range with wide dynamics
The gain range spans +26dB to +60dB, with a dynamic range exceptional for a distortion. At low-gain settings the dynamic range approaches a tube amp, and even with GAIN set high, picking and the guitar's volume control can bring it back to compressed clean arpeggios.
Works with any pickups or amp
Humbuckers yield a balanced distortion, single-coils a drive with low mids, and even active pickups remain easy to control. It produces solid, three-dimensional distortion with British stacks, American classic amps, and transistor clean amps alike.
Four-knob tone shaping
Alongside VOL and GAIN, TREBLE adjusts primarily the highs, while MID works in both boost and cut directions. Keeping a tight low end and a natural presence, it shapes tones from lead to backing.
