While the BJF Buffer found in many devices was designed with electric guitar in mind, this unit is a buffer BJF developed from scratch for electric bass.
Input impedance adjustment via the Z knob
The Z knob adjusts input impedance from 50kΩ to 390kΩ. Beyond matching the characteristics of passive or active basses, it can be used like a tone control for fine-tuning how the low end comes through. The effect depends on the impedance of the connected bass, and it may make little difference if another buffer sits earlier in the chain.
Split dual outputs
Output impedance is 2kΩ, and the signal is split across two outputs. A single unit covers the dual-path connection common with bass: feeding a bass amp and a DI at the same time.
