A noise gate that refines the Scholz Research and Development gate known from the ROCKMAN and packages it as a pedal. TRIGGER LEVEL adjusts the level at which the gate engages, and one of three reduction types — HISS, MID, and FULL — can be selected. When noise is heavy, HI TRIGGER RANGE widens the trigger range. It suits removing noise and hum from high-gain sounds.
A noise gate with three selectable reduction types
Its origin is the Scholz Research and Development noise gate known from the ROCKMAN. Refined into an easy-to-use pedal format, it removes the unwanted noise and hum that arise with high-gain sounds.
Three reduction types chosen by frequency range
Switch between HISS for removing high-frequency noise, MID for targeting midrange noise, and FULL for broad coverage. Choosing the type to match the character of the noise suppresses only the target noise while limiting the impact on the performance signal.
Trigger adjustment
The TRIGGER LEVEL knob finely sets the level at which the gate opens and closes. In noisy conditions, HI TRIGGER RANGE widens the trigger range, keeping the gate working reliably even with high-gain settings.
