A phaser created in collaboration between Eddie Van Halen and MXR. Based on the Phase 90 he used for many years, it wears the graphics of his Frankenstein guitar. A Script switch on top of the unit toggles between the restrained-feedback vintage sound of the script-logo era and the modern phase sound of the block-logo era.

A signature phaser created in collaboration between Eddie Van Halen and MXR. Based on the Phase 90 he used for many years, its enclosure carries the design of his legendary Frankenstein guitar.
Two generations of phase on the Script switch
Turning on the Script switch on top of the unit gives a vintage sound with restrained feedback, like a script-logo-era Phase 90. With it off, you get the modern phase sound of the block-logo era, letting you switch between the two characters to suit the song or part.
Pairing with driven sounds
The controls are limited to a single SPEED knob that sets the modulation rate. It is meant to sit in front of a driven amp, aiming for the phase sounds known from "Eruption" and "Hot for Teacher."
