RMS detection and low-noise VCA
An accurate RMS level detector pairs with a high-performance, low-noise VCA. The result is warm, lively compression with low noise and wide dynamic range, and a reduction LED precisely displays the compression effect.
Fine adjustment with five controls
Threshold sweeps from 0dBu to -40dBu, ratio from 1:1 to infinity:1, and output gain from 0dB to 30dB, all continuously. Attack and release times are also adjustable, enabling settings from clean boost to hard limiting.
25V step-up and wide headroom
The adapter's 9V is stepped up to 25V for the compressor circuit, providing headroom and full-range response for any instrument. Heater inrush current control extends tube life.
