Volume Pedal KND-LOW for BASS
A full-range volume pedal, the KND-LOW adjusted for bass. It uses an ERNIE BALL chassis and is designed for low-impedance use. CURVE CONTROL on the front adjusts the volume curve: fully counter-clockwise gives a fast rise, fully clockwise a gradual one. The internal wiring carries 1.6 times the conductor area of the KND-LOW.
A full-range volume pedal with CURVE CONTROL, adjusted for bass
The KND-LOW, built around using level change itself as a musical gesture, adjusted to suit the range of the bass. The rise from zero and the change near maximum are both handled linearly.
CURVE CONTROL
The control that alters how volume rises from heel to toe. Fully counter-clockwise gives a fast rise and fully clockwise a gradual one, letting the feel under the foot be matched to the player. The adjustment operates within the low-impedance range.
Internal wiring for bass
The conductor area of the wire linking the boards is 1.6 times that of the KND-LOW, providing more margin in the signal path for an instrument that reaches further down.
Components in the signal path
Non-magnetic Amtrans AMRG resistors avoid magnetic distortion. The potentiometer is a Tokyo Cosmos high-end audio type, moulded so its condition holds up on outdoor stages. The curve control pot carries a 41-step detent for fine settings and to stop the position drifting during a performance.
