A distortion designed from the starting point of moving away from the amp-like approach, referencing the heavy, dry guitar sound of 1980s desert rock. Dynamic range stays wide while excessive lows and highs are trimmed. The result keeps a modern fineness of grain without removing the roughness, and the distortion never fully collapses, giving it a dry texture close to vintage Japanese fuzz.
