MECHA-PAN BAKERY Series MECHA-CROISSANT DISTORTION
A distortion from the MECHA-PAN BAKERY Series, in which Effects Bakery modifies its own Croissant Distortion. The warm, amp-like drive of the standard version is pushed toward a thicker, sharper hard rock voicing. An internal SMOOTH switch adds a hard-clipping stage that raises compression, while a BODY switch changes the gain in the midrange.
A modified distortion pushing amp-like drive toward hard rock
The MECHA-PAN BAKERY Series is a line in which Effects Bakery modifies its own pedals. This model takes on the Croissant Distortion and its amp-like drive.
How it differs from the standard version
Where the standard version is characterised by the warm tone of amp-style drive, this one is tuned thicker and sharper, widening the range available for rock. It reaches the heavy gain of a modified amp head.
The SMOOTH switch
It adds a hard-clipping stage built around diodes. The added clipping raises compression, giving lead tones a smoother texture.
The BODY switch
It introduces a gain control for the midrange. Switched off, the mids are slightly scooped for a metallic tone; switched on, the midrange strengthens. That covers tight palm-muted riffing, classic rhythm work and lead lines alike.
