Japanese Butter Roll Vibe
A three-mode modulation built around Uni-Vibe style movement, switchable between Vibe, Vibrato and Rotary. It draws on the Japanese-born effect that shaped the psychedelic guitar tones of the late 1960s and early 1970s, and covers rotary speaker movement in the same unit. The range runs from heavy modulation alongside a fuzz to a light treatment over a clean tone.
A vibe pedal switching between three modes of movement and rotation
A pedal based on the swirling guitar tone that defined the psychedelic sound of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Three types, Vibe, Vibrato and Rotary, sit in a single unit.
The three modes
Vibe covers Uni-Vibe style swirl, Vibrato covers pitch movement, and Rotary covers the turning motion of a rotary speaker. A single switch changes the character of the modulation.
Speed and Depth
Speed sets the rate of the modulation and Depth sets its depth and intensity. Deep, fast settings produce a pronounced swirl, while shallow settings add subtle movement to a clean tone.
Where it fits
Paired with a fuzz it builds psychedelic tones. It can also sit lightly over a clean tone for a rotating effect, or add movement to rhythm playing.
