The XS-100 is a high-performance pitch shifter developed through years of research. A newly developed algorithm delivers natural pitch shifting that preserves the playing feel, and the unit combines an expression pedal for dynamic control across a 4-octave range up or down with footswitches that jump the pitch in a single action. The top model of the XS series, using a newly developed algorithm to change pitch naturally while preserving the playing feel. It is designed to cover everything from pitch-shift-driven performance techniques to serving as a tuning alternative in a single unit.
Dynamic pitch control
The built-in expression pedal controls a range of 4 octaves up or down, with the rise and fall speeds adjustable independently. Pressing firmly at the toe engages the EXP switch, jumping the pitch a further octave. The two footswitches handle semitone tuning changes and bypass.
Customization and memory
The pitch range, response curve, and switch assignments can be tailored to your playing style. A DETUNE function with a range of plus or minus 50 cents creates doubling effects, and finished setups can be stored in up to 30 memories for instant recall live or in the studio.
Integration with external gear
Control can be extended with an optional expression pedal and up to two footswitches. TRS MIDI IN/OUT allows control from external MIDI devices or using the onboard pedal as a controller, and a THRU jack that passes the input signal straight through supports parallel setups.
