The SY-200 is a small synthesizer pedal loaded with a wide range of analog-style synth sounds. It builds on the synth sounds of the SY-1 with new additions, and its latency-free, natural playing feel lets you perform without changing your technique. Up to 128 sound setups can be stored in the unit for instant recall. Alongside assignable functions for its two footswitches, it supports control via external footswitches, an expression pedal, and MIDI.
A 200-series guitar synth with 171 sounds and 128 memories
Expands on the synth sounds of the SY-1 and adds an LCD display and memory functions for serious working use. The no-special-pickup, latency-free playing feel carries over unchanged.
12 types, 171 sounds
Alongside LEAD, PAD, and BASS, it offers 12 types and 171 sounds, including DUAL, which layers two synths, the characteristically wavering SWEEP, and ARPEGGIO, which generates phrases from the notes you play. Sounds are selected with the TYPE and VARIATION knobs and shaped with three parameter knobs. Each sound comes preset with suitable parameters, making editing approachable without specialist knowledge.
128 memories and assignable switches
Up to 128 setups can be stored in the unit and recalled instantly, even mid-performance. The MEMORY/CTL1 switch can be assigned functions such as pitch bend, octave shift, and hold; including long-press switching, up to four functions can be operated from the two footswitches.
Connectivity and expansion
SEND/RETURN jacks allow blending with other effects and separate output of the direct sound, giving flexibility in pedalboard integration. It supports external footswitches, an expression pedal, and control via a TRS MIDI jack, and can be integrated into MIDI control from switchers such as the ES series.
