ST-2
The ST-2 is a BOSS drive pedal developed with the powerful sound of vintage stack amps as its reference. With just the SOUND knob, it moves from fat, articulate crunch to intense distortion. TREBLE and BASS controls are also on board, allowing adjustments to match the desired tone or the band mix, giving this compact pedal a wide tonal range.

Developed by analyzing the characteristics of vintage stack amps, it aims to combine air-moving, powerful distortion with tube-like sensitivity to picking.
A SOUND knob that ties gain to character
The SOUND knob changes the amount and character of the distortion at the same time. At the low end it delivers a soft, chiming crunch; in the middle, a powerful drive like a stack amp played loud; and fully clockwise it lives up to the ULTRA name, reaching fierce distortion like a full-up stack amp pushed by a booster.
Dynamics controlled from the guitar
It responds to picking dynamics and the guitar's volume control, letting you move between clean and crunch from the instrument. Used together, the TREBLE and BASS knobs adjust the frequency balance to suit the band mix or the tone you are after.
