NS-2
A noise suppressor with a proprietary circuit. A high-performance VCA circuit cuts only the noise component without affecting playing feel or sound. SEND/RETURN jacks let you place noisy drive pedals inside the loop for effective suppression. It is used to combat guitar and bass noise caused by lighting and power sources.
The standard noise suppressor that cuts noise without changing playing feel
It removes the noise that electric guitars and basses pick up from lighting and power sources with a proprietary circuit. A high-performance VCA and fast envelope detection cut only the noise while keeping note attack and decay natural.
SEND/RETURN loop for drive pedals
Placing noisy pedals in the loop while the INPUT stage analyzes a clean signal suited to detection suppresses even high-gain noise naturally. The contrast stays sharp in songs that alternate between aggressive riffs and silent breaks.
Simple two-knob setup
THRESHOLD sets the signal level where reduction begins, and DECAY adjusts the decay time of the note. The workflow is straightforward: raise THRESHOLD until the noise disappears, then smooth the tail with DECAY only if the cutoff sounds unnatural.
Mute function and DC OUT
Setting the MODE switch to MUTE blocks all signal, which is useful for swapping guitars or tuning. The DC OUT jack can also supply power to other effects pedals.
- Natural noise removal from a high-performance VCA and fast envelope detection
- SEND/RETURN loop for noisy drive pedals
- Mute function for tuning and instrument changes
- DC OUT for powering other pedals
- Works with electronic instruments beyond guitar and bass
