A redesign of the MT-2, popular for more than 25 years and second only to the DS-1 in BOSS's all-time sales, as a Waza Craft model. The analog circuitry has been reworked down to the details, and two modes address today's high-gain scene.
Discrete gain circuitry
The dual-stage gain circuit is built as a discrete design with carefully selected parts, and the EQ was redesigned from the ground up. The midrange frequency response switches to the optimal value for each mode.
Standard mode
It preserves the original Metal Zone's midrange-focused sound while sharpening picking response and definition and reducing noise. It remains controllable even at ultra-high-gain settings.
Custom mode
It offers natural, wide-ranging low mids and a tight low end that keeps its definition even at high gain. It suits down-tuned riffs and playing styles that control the amount of drive from the guitar's volume knob.
