12 modes and intuitive controls
It includes 12 modulation types inherited from the MD-500's algorithms. Alongside knobs for the main parameters, three PARAM knobs change what they control depending on the mode, and the footswitch supports tap input for RATE and time-signature changes.
An insert function with selectable placement
Connecting a favorite pedal through the insert lets you choose whether the MD-200's effect is applied before or after that pedal. You can try different orderings of modulation and other effects without changing any cabling.
Memories and external control
Settings can be saved to memories, and the Version 1.1 update expanded user memories to 127. It supports control via external footswitches, an expression pedal, and MIDI.
