DS-2
A distortion pedal released in 1987. It packs two distortion sounds into a compact pedal enclosure, with a choice between TURBO I, hard yet fine-grained, and TURBO II, mid-boosted and suited to leads. Connecting an optional footswitch to the REMOTE jack also allows switching by foot.
A distortion that switches between two TURBO modes with distinct characters
A distortion pedal in continuous use since its 1987 release. It packs two distortion sounds into a compact pedal enclosure and supports remote switching via footswitch.
The edgy TURBO I
A mode that combines edge with a full low-midrange, producing thick distortion even with single-coil pickups. Its gain range is wide, covering restrained crunch through deep high gain. The active TONE knob is voiced at a relatively low frequency range, handling dark through bright settings.
The mid-boosted TURBO II
A distinctive mid-boosted mode; with TONE at center, it delivers a singing, mid-rich sound suited to leads. Connecting an optional footswitch to the REMOTE jack lets you switch modes by foot during a performance, and pairing it with ES series switchers or the MS-3 enables patch-linked control.
Discrete-circuit responsiveness
A discrete circuit design without op-amps lets it respond directly to picking dynamics and guitar volume while distorting hard. Noise stays minimal even at high-gain settings.
- Two distortion modes with different characteristics
- TURBO I balancing edge with a full low-midrange
- The singing, mid-boosted TURBO II
- Remote mode switching with an optional footswitch
