A Waza Craft series model that rebuilds the 1978 DS-1 with a newly designed two-stage gain circuit in fully analog discrete circuitry. It keeps the original's sharp distortion and sustain while widening the sound-shaping range.
Standard mode
A mode that delivers the original DS-1 sound as is. With crisp articulation and singing sustain, it also works as a gain booster into an already-driven amp. The TONE knob, which controls the lows and highs simultaneously, allows adjustments to match the ensemble or the amp.
Custom mode
A mode that keeps the sharp distortion and sustain while strengthening the midrange push and the speed of the picking response. At the same settings, the sound shifts from crunch to deep distortion with picking dynamics. Maximum LEVEL output is extended to +6dB over the standard mode, so it also works as a booster pushing amps and other drive pedals.
Waza Craft design
A made-in-Japan analog circuit with carefully selected parts is paired with a premium buffer that preserves the guitar's pure signal. The TONE knob is tuned specifically for each mode to bring out its character.
