NightSky is a reverb workstation capable of experimental sound design. It offers control over reverb pitch, processing rate, core size, harmonics, and a synth-style resonant filter with modulation, and also includes a step sequencer with glide time.
A synthesis workstation beyond the boundaries of reverb
An experimental reverb built around a variable-rate core that changes the speed of the reverb engine, integrating pitch and harmonic manipulation with synth-like filter sweeps. Three textures — Sparse, Dense, and Diffuse — provide the foundation of the reverb.
Variable-rate core and repitching
Shrinking and stretching the reverb core changes reflection density and response while preserving clarity. The reverb signal can be transposed, sequenced, and pitch-modulated, and the shimmer voice supports shifts up or down an octave or to musical intervals.
Drive, low-pass filter, and Glimmer
Drive adds saturation at the reverb's input or output, and in the Post setting behaves like a soft-clip limiter. A 4-pole 24dB/oct low-pass filter creates synth-style sweeps, and Glimmer produces reverb tails with emphasized high or low harmonics.
8-step sequencer and morphing
A sequencer varies SIZE/PITCH per step, with automatic tap-tempo operation and adjustable glide time. The morph feature smoothly transitions knob settings at a specified speed via footswitch and can be saved per preset.
INFINITE footswitch
Freezes the input to the reverb core, letting you layer reverb processing of new signals on top. The frozen sound can be combined with the sequencer for repitching along chord progressions and playing over the top.
