The second generation of the dual delay pedal that runs two digital delays at once. It draws on delay voicings developed in the 1980s, generating complex echoes as the two delays intertwine. With five rhythmic subdivisions and three routing options, you can craft everything from syncopated patterns to widely spaced echoes.
A dual delay commanding two 80s digital delays
It studies the conversion technology of 1980s rackmount digital delays and recreates their distinctive processing. Combining two simultaneous delays with connection routings produces dreamlike echoes in the space between delay and reverb.
Three delay voicings
adm recreates the adaptive delta modulation conversion of the early 80s for percussive, wideband repeats. 12bit delivers a warm, spacious sound via 12-bit/32kHz PCM conversion. 24/96 is a modern high-resolution voice that paints natural, uncolored repeats.
Two delays that move in sync
The master Delay 1 sets delay times from 20ms to 1.6 seconds, and Delay 2 follows from five subdivisions including triplets, dotted eighths, and the golden ratio. Free mode releases the sync so the two delays run at fully independent times.
Tone and modulation to shape the repeats
The TONE knob added in the second generation adjusts high cut to the left and low cut to the right, filtering the feedback with a single knob. Modulation offers three levels of off, Light, and Deep, adding spatial depth to the repeats.
Circular repeats
Holding the TAP switch keeps both delay lines repeating continuously at full volume. Releasing the switch returns to the previous settings, useful for staging rhythmic soundscapes.
