The Agamidae Tail Loop is a programmable switcher from One Control that packs six series effect loops into a compact footprint. It stores up to 100 programs across 20 banks of 5 presets, and the number of active banks can be set anywhere from 2 to 20. Each loop uses relay-based true bypass, and a master bypass function switches off all effects at once. A series 6-loop switcher slimmed down to the essentials

As programmable switchers grow ever more feature-laden, they can be overkill for a simple rig. The Agamidae Tail Loop was built for easy adoption, distilling the functions needed to control a standard pedalboard into a compact unit.

Six series loops and program management

The six effect loops are wired in series with a standard pedalboard in mind, and up to 100 programs can be stored across 20 banks of 5 presets. The active bank range can be set from 2 to 20 to match the presets you actually use, keeping recall quick even with the single-footswitch cycling bank select. Assigning one bank per song also works well.

Edit mode and direct mode

Alongside recall mode, edit mode and direct mode let the six footswitches control each loop's on and off state directly. Build a sound in edit mode and return to recall mode, and it is saved straight into the selected program. Direct-mode operations never affect presets, making them useful for temporary switching and soundchecks.

Master bypass and power distribution

Each loop uses relay-based true bypass, and pressing the currently selected program switch bypasses all loops at once. The master bypass can also be disabled. The unit runs on center-negative 9V DC and can power connected pedals through six DC outputs.
