JOSHUA® AMBIENT ECHO
$255.99Reference price
An echo pedal covering everything from the psychedelic echoes of the 1960s and 70s to the ambient echoes of the 1980s in a single unit. VOICE adjusts the blend of octave signals, MOD adjusts the modulation, and the ECHO2 button sets up a dual delay. While a button on the top row is held down, each knob becomes a secondary function for detailed settings of modulation, filter, and reverb. It packs functionality that once required a rack system into an MXR-sized pedal, and its preset sounds make an intuitive starting point for shaping your own.
An ambient echo gathering echo sounds of different eras in one unit
It covers everything from the psychedelic echoes of the 1960s and 70s to the ambient echoes of the 1980s. Functionality that once required a rack system fits into an MXR-sized pedal, and preset sounds make an intuitive starting point for shaping your own.
Blending octaves and modulation
The VOICE knob adjusts the mix of -1, +1, and +2 octave signals, and the MOD knob sets the amount of modulation. Layering overtones and movement onto the echo repeats creates spatial textures that go beyond simple repeats.
Dual delay with ECHO2
Turning on the ECHO2 button adds a quarter-note secondary echo for sounds that combine two echo units. DIVISION selects the note value of the echo relative to the tempo, letting you build delay patterns that follow the rhythm.
Secondary functions
While the top ECHO2 or TRAILS button is held down, each knob switches to a secondary function for detailed settings of modulation, filter, and reverb. TRAILS toggles between trails mode and normal bypass, choosing how the repeats linger when the pedal is switched off.
External control
Connecting an expression pedal to the CTR jack allows real-time control of settings, and connecting a tap switch puts the delay tempo under foot control.
