TU-3
The TU-3 is a pedal-type chromatic tuner that condenses BOSS's tuner expertise. Its rugged enclosure houses a smooth 21-LED meter display and an Accu-Pitch Sign function that visually confirms when tuning is complete. With a high-brightness mode for outdoor visibility and a full set of modes including guitar/bass and flat tuning, it is a pedal tuner used around the world as a standard.
The standard pedal tuner for reliable tuning on stage
Announced in 2009 as the successor to the TU-2, which debuted in 1998 as the world's first pedal tuner. It carries over the ease of use and ruggedness while improving tuning accuracy and visibility.
21-LED meter display
Twenty-one LEDs display the tuning status smoothly, and the Accu-Pitch Sign function signals completed tuning with an LED animation. The display can be switched between CENT, modeled on a needle meter, and STREAM, which shows sharp or flat pitch as a flow of light.
Tuning modes with string-number display
Alongside chromatic mode, which shows note names in semitones, guitar/bass modes display string numbers, supporting 6- and 7-string guitars and 4- to 6-string basses. Flat tuning can be set down to 6 semitones in guitar mode and 3 semitones in bass mode.
Features for stage use
A high-brightness mode improves visibility outdoors, and the signal is muted the moment the tuner engages, allowing silent tuning. The DC OUT jack can also supply power to other compact pedals.
