BOSS

FZ-5

A fuzz pedal that gathers the sounds of three vintage fuzzes with distinct personalities into one unit. It models the characteristics of the germanium transistors used in vintage fuzzes at the component level, with a knob to switch between the three different characters. F mode offers saturation on the low strings and mild breakup on the plain strings, M mode delivers the dirty sound of early drive units, and O mode has a voice that seems to add an upper octave.
